So, how do you predict disruptive forces? How could you know that the Facebook phone would fail? In this day and age of "big data" and "internet of things", predictive tools are becoming more and more accurate.  It's a brave new world.

The Times They Are A Changin...

High School, 40 years ago +/-: My English teacher, Mr. Eugene Conrotto, stated that he was a "walking dictionary" when asked how to spell a word. First time I heard the phrase "walking dictionary".

Today: Reading a NY Times article about the freshly rejuvenated Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, the Chief Archivist is referred to as a "walking hard-drive" of Walholian facts. First time I heard the phrase "walking hard-drive".
